iPad Air

The new version of the iPad air has recently hit our shelves in the last month or so and we would like to give our iPad Air Review on this product. We will be reviewing its price, design, software support and more. As you might know, this website is dedicated to review the newest tech that comes out and we wouldn’t want to miss such a big product like the iPad Air. So, sit back, get a cup of tea and put on your reading glasses.

A Little Background Information on the iPad Air 2020

The original iPad air was introduced on October 22nd 2013 and was released on November 1st 2013. It has had many new models built since its first release in 2013, a total of 4 in the “Air” variety. Although many people seem to think that the updates and new models created have given only slight improvements such as increased speed and the products weighing less etc. However, since it has come back this year as the second Air product was discontinued in 2016 it seems to be selling quite well.

With its recent emergence on the shelves, we cannot wait to give you all of the new features.

Price

The first thing that people want to know is the price of a product before they purchase and then they work out whether it is worth it from reviews, design, specifications and perhaps other categories.

At the moment, we can see that there are a variety of different prices for the new iPad Air. Prices are varying from £500 – £850 which is quite the big leap for one individual product. However, on the apple website we can see that prices start from £579 which in our opinion is quite expensive.

Of course, the price is depending on which 4 variations you want to choose from which can be a little confusing as you would need to know the design specifications for this, but we will talk more about that in our design section.

Sufficed to say if you are happy with paying the extra £200 – £300 for a better version that is entirely up to you. However, we don’t think the price is worth the extra.

Design

The iPad Air has a new look to it compared to other apple products which they even introduced with the iPhone 12 as well. The iPad air has a more angular design to it and can take some getting used to, especially if you are used to the older apple products. It’s unsurprising that most consumers who buy it seem to love the design.

One of the most incredible things about the new iPad Air is that it is 100% recyclable as it is made from aluminium. You can also choose from a multitude of colours due to it not being a high-end device and you can tell the staff at apple had a bit of fun creating some interesting colours to accompany this product.

Something that shocked us with the new iPad Air is that Touch ID has been reinvented with this product. We say “reinvented” but really, they made a similar design closer to Android, as the button for this is on the side of the product which is a first for Apple.

Compared to the older versions the 2020 iPad Air is also lighter in weight than ever before. As the bezels they used to create this product as similar to the iPad Mini. However, the design itself is 7.5 millimetres thick and due to the bezel size, it has lessened the weight of this product.
